For 35 years, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has noted the award as a benchmark for excellence in Sports broadcasting. This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award will go to entrepreneur, sportsman, and television visionary Ted Turner. More than 180 nominees were announced in 39 additional categories, including Outstanding Live Sports Special, Live Series, Sports Documentary, and Studio Show.
